Easy read 30 July 2013

As soon as I received this book through the post I could see at first glance that it was going to be an easy read. I wasn't disappointed. Full of intrigue, mystery, romance and pathos with a glimpse of the horrors of ww11 - a charming book - a real page turner. Congratulations Maggie New

A great read 7 Feb 2014

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.It has a very good story line as well as giving an insight into the clandestine world that some women had to play during World War 11.
It appeals to the historian and the romantic. I recommend it to everyone.

Rainbow chicks for young imaginations 27 July 2011

by April Revell

These are super books, well thought out stories with beautiful illustrations that engage the young reader and make everyone want to turn the pages and find out what adventures these pretty little chicks get up to next. This author knows how to stimulate the young imagination and i hope we see many more stories from her.

DRAGONS END

Cornish fever 15 Jun 2011

Format:Kindle Edition

What a super book! Very atmospheric of the romanticism of Cornwall a la Daphne du Maurier, the descriptions of the Coast line are very real and you can feel yourself swept up in the story. I think it's a tale for all ages and I'd recommend it. A feel good and heartwarming book with characters you want to know and enough twists to make you care what happens to them all in the end.

This is an excellent book for the young reader being aimed at 12 - 14 year olds.
It is not too long and full of fun and adventure. It beautifully depicts the Cornish landscape.
The author has a keen understanding of the teenage psyche.
My grand daughter loved it. I hope Ms. New writes more !

TOM’S STORY

Great addition to a moving story

I loved Dragon's End, apart from being a lovely story it was full of atmosphere with the Cornish background well described and the hint of a supernatural being an intricate part of some of the tale. This sequel is great as it is a standalone story (if you haven't read Dragon's End) but also compliments and gives great background to the main story. It is also very sensitively constructed and a great insight into the possibilities of the spirit world and what the spirits can do for us.
I'd highly recommend this to anyone reading Dragon's End.

THE RAINBOW CHICKS GAME

Reviews

12 Oct 2014 by Sumi Head

The rainbow chicks game was really fun to play with my family. It has a simple concept, get all the chicks and Pretty to win the game, but this is harder than expected since you can only buy a chick at specific times.Although the game is mainly based on luck, it does involve quite a bit of skill which makes it more challenging! It doesn't end really quickly but doesn't take hours to play either! We really enjoy it and we think that overall, it's a brilliant family game and I highly recommend it!

The Rainbow Chicks Game is a nice family game, easy to follow and great for youngsters.

They can learn to read, count, all about colour, and lots of stories. It's

engaging and lots of fun. The characters are great and the illustrations

beautiful and evocative of all those lovely old games we played for hours in our

own childhood. I heartily recommend this game for good traditional fun for all

the family to join in
